Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Joseph Maultsby Sep 16, 2006
I wish to relay my condolences to the family of Marvin Leonard Black. I was a high school friend of Lindy Black, and was also stationed overseas with him in England. I have memories of Mr. & Mrs. Black, and the store that they owned. I can't walk into an old store with hardwood floors now without thinking of them.
Sincerely,
Joe Maultsby

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Black when he came to live with his wife at Park Manor. They were both dear people. However, I grew to love Mr.Black and will miss him dearly. He reminded me so much of my Grandfather that I have so many wonderful memories of. I enjoyed chatting with Mr.Black and seeing him smile when we would talk of things in the past. I miss my granddad alot and will miss Mr.Black too. Just want to say Thanks to his family for sharing him with me.

I grew up in the house directly across from "Black's Grocery" in Tuleta. Mr. Black was always so kind to me. He even let me help him around the store sometimes. I am so sorry for your loss.
