Dear Mike,
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Debbie. Dana and I were unaware of Debbie's death until today. I am so sorry for your loss and your children's loss. Debbie was such a joy to be around. I have some really fun memories of her sitting with us at Cinco. She will certainly be missed by all. Please take care of yourself and certainly contact Dana or myself should you need anything at all.

It was a pleasure to work for Debbie at One Stop Travel in Humble. She was kind and caring to everyone she met. She had such an upbeat attitude towards life and the determination to get through difficulties. I enjoyed Debbie's fun stories about her family...she LOVED her family. Debbie had a kind soul and encouraged others to seek the good in life. David and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy to all those who loved Debbie, but especially to Mike and her family. May God grant His peace and comfort during this very sad time.

Miss Debbie:

I met Debbie on a dive trip to Cozumel in 1984. We had been paired together as roommates. Having never met, we both wanted to find each other before we got on the airplane. Each of us asked fellow travelers their names until we came together in the Continental waiting area. We chatted all the way to Cozumel and were fast friends before we hit the ground. On a familiarization trip everyone is busy: diving sites, seeing property, and doing travel stuff. We were dive buddies and spent our free time touring together. On Sunday we were scheduled to depart for Houston. I had lost my grandmother's gold cross from my necklace the day before and we had relentlessly searched the room, bathroom, and linens - to no avail. No Cross! Our luggage had to be placed outside the room and Debbie picked up my luggage - there it was -- My Cross! That moment became our touchstone forever. I have seen Debbie in her business, through divorce, the death of her father, and then the pinnacle of her life -- marrying Mike. She loved him right away. She dearly loved Christian, her grandchildren, and living out on the farm. I even met her cow - "Little Bit". She is the most digniified, sweet, classy Lady I've ever met - a very dear friend. I will love her forever... and many people will miss her like Bob and I will.

Debbie, how can "The Magnificent Seven" ever forget all the wonderful times we spent at "our little condo" in Mexico! We will always remember that queso - you made the best! You were always the organizer, and made sure everyone was taken care of! Those days will always be cherished, and truly, Mexico will never be the same without our group! I am so sorry we never got to take that "one last trip" we talked about. May God bless your family as they learn to live this life on earth without you! Love, Wanda

What a special friend and such a kind woman. Her smiling face will not be forgotten. Mike and family, may you have comfort in knowing how very much you were loved by Debbie. I will miss her, as I know everyone that was lucky enough to know her will miss her.

To Mike and all the family, I am praying that each of your days become easier, Debbie was a true fighter and she will be missed by all of those who ever knew her. She was a giver and was always happy to lend an ear. Mike if you need anything and I mean anything please let us know, Cheryl and Dominic Gaskins
