I have fond and vivid memories of Mike's passionate commitment to noble ideals and his generous, down-to-earth style. He loved kids that most of us would have a hard time loving. Mike achieved what we aspire to achieve: he made a difference in this world.

I began working for Gulf Coast Trades Center many years ago, not realizing what a journey it would be. Over the years, I have met many people who I have admired and respected, but Mr. Buzbee was a shining star among stars and I am honored to have had the chance to know such an individual. Like the rest of my G.C.T.C. family, I will miss him greatly. God bless you Buzbee family.

Mike Buzbee had a trait not often found anymore.. He was a man of integrity in both the way he conducted himself and in his business that was not only his dream but his passion. He was one of the few people that went after his dreams, put his whole being into it and made it happen... He will always have my deepest respect and admiration. He will be sorely missed.

I was lucky to get the opportunity to work here and meet with Mr. Buzbee. Even though I have not been here long, I realized very quickly that I was a part of something great. The mission statement is not just a slogan, it is what Mr. Buzbee worked his whole life for. His dedication and spirit will continue here to make live's better. He is gone but never forgotten. A million thanks go to him. God Bless YOu

Mr. Buzbee touched such an astounding number of lives for one man! From helping to raise such a fine family of his own to his many employees to all of the students who have benefitted from his vision and dedication, he has truly left a legacy for generations to come. May God richly reward him.

I got to meet Mike to late in my life, which was three years ago. In those three years, I got to know one of the finest human beings who had a real and sincere dedication to helping those less fortunate then himself. Mike was always there and always had a positive can do attitude that rubbed off on those around him. I consider myself fortunate to have met him and spent time with him, and his wife who he loved truly. I know that he will continue to be with us as we work with the less fortunate in our society and I am sure that he hit the ground running when he entered heaven trying to lend a hand. I'll miss you brother and hope to see you when my time comes. Hilario

Mr. Buzbee was dedicated to making the program at Gulf Coast the best educational trades program that could be offered. Most of all he was dedicated to troubled youth and to helping them turn their lives around and to building character that would be important to their continued success in the real world. He was never above listening to them and personally getting involved in their issues. He was loved and respeted by his colleagues and students. He will be greatly missed.

I worked for Mr. Buzbee for 5 years, and got to know him rather well. After I sadly left Gulf Coast, I moved to the State of Oregon to begin to work with at-risk youth here. Mr. Buzbee came to visit us just two weeks ago, and addressed the Oregon Youth Authority and some officials about Gulf Coast and our program, to be modeled after Gulf Coast, and he did so at his own expense.
I can speak on behalf of "The Lazarus Project," and the State of Oregon when I say, we don't know what we will do without him. He was a good and decent man who only wanted to help people. He will be greatly missed and has left somewhat of a void. We send our condolences to the Buzbee family and the Gulf Coast Trades Center.
