To Doris' Family,
The world is a better place because of Doris Parker. As you and everyone who was blessed to have had Doris in their lives knows, she was an example of how we all should be...loving, caring, giving, selfless, spiritual and most of all, very proud of her family. She was my Grandmother's (Katherine Kaufman) best friend and I will always remember the time they spent together and how much it meant to them. She always had time for everyone, and if you stopped by the house you could never just say a quick hello, she always wanted to fix you something and spend time with you making you feel so at home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. She will be missed.

Much Love,
Nelson & Becky Gumm

When I think of Doris and Wes, I always remember the kind, caring things they did for other people, ie, they brought do-nuts to Buford after he had back surgery. That is just one that comes to my mind. There were so many others. They were so faithful to the church. The Parker family was there when the doors opened. Their love for their children was so evident. After they moved to Conroe Doris never forgot my birthday. She always sent a beautiful card and a sweet note. I will think of her often, and remember her sweet spirit.

When I think of Doris, I think of kindness.

She was a wonderful friend, even after I moved from Conroe we had wonderful phone conversations.

She will be truly missed as she touched so many lives.

Doris is now a part of God's house and is sure to be sharing her love and hospitality to all his kingdom.

Till we meet again in eternity. Your friend forever.

Doris will always be remembered as a unique individual. I had the privilege of having tea with her on her back porch, and I enjoyed hearing her talk about her favorite subject-her family! She was so very proud of each one of you and her eyes would light up with joy as we shared stories. Doris had the biggest heart and a gift of giving all of her joyous life. I will always recall the statement she was so proud of saying, and that was, "but I feel so good!" Each of you will have so many wonderful memories of a wonderful person indeed, that enjoyed life to the very full!

Wes,

We are very sorry about the loss of your mother. I can tell that she had such spirit and that spirit will continue with you.

We are thinking of you and your family!

Doris was one of the most giving people I have ever met.No matter what happened in your life, she was the first to help you. I will miss all of her cards and smiling face. I now she is in Heaven and trying to figure out if she can send cards there too.

We just know that Uncle Wesley, Mary Lou, Ruth and Ken, Hilda & Bob, Poppy, Grandma and BJ were dancing with joy that she had finally joined them!

I will miss her calls, her support and her grace but most of all her laughter!

Aunt Doris was a good friend to all and gave so freely of her gifts.

This is such a sad time for all of you, but know that your decisions have made her proud.

Much love

To Doris's Family,

Doris was a very special lady to our family. She was the best next door neighbor a family could ask for and we loved her like she was our mother and grandmother. There will be a great void not seeing her outside tending to her beautiful flowers, but we know she is in heaven.
We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Love,

David, Jan & Brendan
