Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Carol Mayfield Roberts Dec 11, 2007
Dear Darlene and family,

I am thinking of you this time of year. James was a part of our family for a long time. Joe has always considered James his brother. We lost Mother on April 11, 2007 and then James a week later. I am sure they are talking over old times in Heaven. James was a good man who was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

Joe had a stroke a couple of years ago and can't see to drive. He still lives in Austin and misses James visits. You will be in my prayers during this holiday season.

Dear "Miss Tiller" and girls -

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! So many memories of growing up together with great dads and great moms. It's so hard to lose someone as special as your dad - my heart breaks for you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

I have known your son Allen for many years. He has always been a good friend. Although we have lost touch, I read about his Dad, and felt I should write. Allen was taught many things "on his own",as he has always been that "ramblin' guy" but his core goodness could have only come from home, from Mom and Dad! "Yes Mam" and "No Sir", a firm hand shake and a friendly smile are taught in the home....Well done!
I hope that your family will look to the future, knowing the "Dad" has passed on some great morels and ethics to all the kiddos!
Have Al give me a call.
Take Care!

Wilton and I were so sorry to read your husband's obituary in today's paper. We were shocked and feel it must have been very sudden. I will be in touch with you soon when you are back at work. Prayers for you and your family

Gosh, our hearts are broken for you. I have been thinking of all our past times together and they are all very pleasant. James was definitely one that will not be forgotten and especially with that special smile.
Our love to you all.
