Jamie and Family,

Mother just told me today about the loss of your mom, along with the comment what a beautiful woman she was...yes indeed she was. I have so many fond memories of your mom and I still cherish that silly golf pin she gave me before you left Amarillo.

You are all in my prayers and thoughts.

Dear Jack and family,
We were very saddened to hear about Vera.
Our thoughts go back to the early 60's when we all attending Paramount Baptist in Amarillo. When we left in 1965 to start medical school, you and Vera hosted a sunday school party on Gem Lake Road and sent us off with a real life money tree. Then to our surprise , we all showed up living in Audtin later and attending Hyde Park Baptist.
We will alway think of Vera as a beautiful, truly classy lady living a dedicated Christian life as a loving wife and mother. Heaven is a more beautiful place now. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Love, Ron and Nina Deskin

We think back to our time with you at Paramount Baptist
Church in Amarillo in the 60,s. When we left Amarillo in 1965 to start medical school, you and Vera hosted a sunday school party on Gem Lake Road to send us off with a "money tree".

Heartfelt sympathy to Jack and the family...I remember Vera's wonderful smile! ...and riding horses with her along Coleto Creek, once getting stuck in the creekbed...and laughing as we "unstuck" the horses. She was quiet (compared to Jack!), strong, a true lady. She exemplified the wife mentioned in Proverbs, and always exhibited great love for God, her husband and her family. She was so proud of all of you. She is surely in a far greater choir now...I pray God's peace and blessings to all of you.

Jack and Vera Huddleston were great friends of mine when I was just a young boy growing up on Albert street in Amarillo,Texas.Their Daughter Jamie was my childhood sweetheart.I used to play with JoeBob,JimmyDan,Jamie and little Jay all the time.Vera was the kindest Lady I ever met in my whole life. She was always so nice to everyone.I remember she made a chocolate cake for Jay,s 1st birthday and he was eating it as she was putting the icing on.She just laughed and said,"Looks like I need to make another cake".I remeber going to Lake Meridith 1 time with them all.Jack had a real nice sailboat.Jamie and I decided to swin to the shore when we were anchored close to it.That water was cold.It was so cold we didnt want to swim back.Vera had Jack pull closer so we could get aboard. My Mother Margaret Loved Vera very much too.She lives in Victoria,Texas along with my sister Deen and Brother-inlaw Gary Foster. My Mom told me of the sad news about Vera.My heart sank when I heard about her passing. My heartfelt condolences goes out to you all.I just want you to know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. My life was blessed by knowing Vera and the rest of you as well.Your friend always-------Bear Foster!

The Video Memorial for Vera was beautiful.I am so glad she had th forethought and planningto have this for you, your family and friends. The Funeral was such a blessing and the messages that the pastors and your son gave was so inspirational.
Vera left a wonderful legacy as a Christian wife and mother for all who knew her. I feel so fortunate to have known her as a Nurse during our training days. She was a Mentor for many as one who developed her God given talents throughout her life and gave Love back because she had received so much.

I pray for God's comfort for you and your family.

Dear Jack,

I read about Vera's passing just this morning. Y'all have always occupied a special place in my life because, when I went to work for the Texas Savings & Loan League, you both were some of the first to welcome me to the "family". Vera was one of those solid people I think of as "rocks" because she was a lady, firm and insightful. Although I haven't seen you in awhile, I still reflect on the good times in our lives. Vera will be sorely missed. Godspeed my friend.

Jack, my dear friend...when I read about Vera in the paper yesterday...my heart just sank. My heart goes out to you and the children..what a supreme loss of this magnificent lady..Vera was witty, loving, caring, beautiful...just the total woman, wife, & mother!!! I will always cherish our years together, family get togethers, fun, work, church, all the good things in our life that Vera played a major role. With Love, thoughts, and prayers..I am deeply disappointed that I cannot be there today...I have a great love for the Huddlestons!! My day will be focused on all of you with wonderful thoughts of Vera...what a precious lady...Gods blessings and comfort be with in the days and years ahead! Dean
