Mildred, Mike and Tammy,
Howard will live on forever in the hearts of all that knew him. He was the most intellegnt, kind, quick witted and wondeful man that ever walked on this earth. He was the best boss a person could have and I will never forget him. I love you and miss you all.

Howard Moore will be missed. When I was growing up in the 50's in Conroe, I had two men that were my role models. My father died when I was 15 so there was a definate hole in my psyche. The two men that I revered most were Howard Moore and Gene Reeves. They were the epitome of what I aspired to be. Oh, these were just men with, I'm sure, the same shortcomings of us all. But to me, as a teenager, they were both bigger than life. My regret is that I never made the effort to let either one of them know what influence they had on me until it was too late. That is certainly one of my shortcomings. These two men were most assuredly members of "The Greatest Generation".
My hope is that there are still men like Howard and Gene in my generation and in the generations to come. It seems to me that good role models are getting much harder to find. But then, I guess every generation erroneously comes to this same conclusion. All I can say now is "thank you, Howard" and hope that there exists some form of communication where he will receive this belated message.
With much sincerity,

By: Tom Sep 23, 2007
Dear Mildred and Mike,

Howard was the first person I met in First National Bank when I came to Conroe in 1967. What a Gentleman. He welcomed me as a new dentist to the area, and eventually built me and Dr. Bob Gordon a Professional Building on Longmire Roadroad - to my great satisfaction. There will never be another Howard Moore. I loved him and will miss him as a wonderful man. His personality and contributions to the area will be a great loss to Conroe. May God comfort you Mildred and Mike, Those times will sorely be missed.

Lovingly yours,

Dr. Thomas M. Little

To Mildred,

Howard was a wonderful neighbor and a great friend. Moving to Conroe in 1977 was made much easier when Howard was always ready to help in any possible way. He was smart, thoughtful and a man who I always enjoyed visiting with. His life was very special to my wife, our children and me. His memory will always be with us.
