Tributes Add Your Tribute

Dot's and my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. When we read of Higbee's death, our first impulse was a desire to join with you and friends at his memorial service. However, we found a calendar conflict which could not be changed. Congratulations on 53 happy years of marriage. We are slightly behind, with only 50.



My closest association with Higbee harks back to Billings. Professionally, we collaborated on several

projects. I remember most fondly going on fishing trips with Higbee; hiking UP to Sylvan Lake in quest

of golden trout and to Lake Mary for brook trout. One spring, we rushed the season a bit, trying our luck on Rosebud Creek. The water was high and, while wading, I lost my footing and found myself bumping on my seat along the bottom as I was washed downstream. That ended the trip prematurely.



Later, at Bellaire Research Center in Houston, my office was adjacent to Higbee's for awhile, so we
