Scha and family,

So sorry to hear about your father's passing. My sympathy to all of you. I did not realize your parents were no longer in Roscoe.

Take care.

My husband Lynnon Grant was a friend of a Donald Lee Turner in Abilene when he was a child. He lived on South 2nd St. in Abilene, Texas. This Donald Lee Turner lived on Russell Ave. I think. He would have been around 70 years old because my husband would have been 70 in Jan. of this year. Lynnon died Oct. 30, 2001. If this is the same one he had fond memories of him. They played football together and played as children and went to school together. I would love to know if he is the same one. I am so sorry about his death. My husband had leukemia for 13 years and he had been through Chemo twice but his immune system was not good and he got a rare form of pneumonia. He was in the hospital a little over a month before he died. Write me a line and give me some information. Thanks, Margaret Grant

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing, Ray Don. I remember lots of good times from when we were young and in school at John R. Lewis. I also remember Don and Betty at many church get-togethers at Lamar Street and Fraley Park. Remember Woolverton Mountain? Your dad was so proud of the way you sang and played that guitar. I know you'll miss him. Give your mom a hug from all of my family here in Sweetwater.
