Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Linda Johnson Mar 14, 2003
Mary, Steve and Family, I want to express my condolences to all of you upon the loss of your

Mother and Grandmother. A Mother is such a very special person in a child's life, and all

through to adulthood, there is no one like your Mother. May you find comfort in knowing that

she is in a better place now, along with your Dad and many other friends and relatives who

have gone before her. I will never forget when you two got married and you wore your Mother's

wedding dress. That was such a special tribute, and you were beautiful in it. May God Bless

You All. Sincerely, Linda B. Johnson

To all the family our prayers are with you. Aunt Ida will be missed greatly.

My belief is that she is with Uncle Phil, and all who went home before her in the kingdom of Heaven.

My prayers for all the family is Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you,May his face

shine upon you and be gracious to you, The Lord turn his face toward you and give

you peace.

May GOD bless you all,

Usually, in our life-time, we meet a special person(s) who touches our lives and

our hearts. Aunt Ida was such a person for me. I remember as a child going to her

house and I thought she made the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the world. She was

always so patient, full of helpful advice and soft spoken. She had an amazing smile that

always caused me to smile in return. She was a gentle woman who lived a good life. It

was not always easy, but she always made the most of what she was dealt. She has always

been an inspiration to me. I am blessed to have had her in my life.

I wish so much that I could have been there to say good bye. I hate living so far away. I know that you are in a wonderful place now with so many people that you have missed so much. I hope that you have found them all. I had asked you to please find my sweet baby boys, Christopher and Bradley once you made it home. I hope that you did and were able to kiss and hug them both for me. Please let me know that everything is good up there if you get a chance. I love you so very much Aunt Ida. I will miss you and will be thinking of you until we can meet again in Heaven. Love always and forever, Michelle

When I started work at HL&P in 1982, Ida was one of my trainers. I'll always be grateful for the kindness and patience she showed me. She always had something good to say, even when I made mistakes. She always had a smile and a cheerful word for everyone she met. When I appeared in a training video for HL&P, she had a friend write up an "award" in calligraphy, because she liked my performance. I thought that was very thoughtful of her. I feel lucky to have known her, and share in your loss.

Sincerely,

Dennis Cass
