To the Family of Miss Vivian -- she was such a lady and so special. Her church and Sunday School Class (Adult VI) will miss her. We will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with y'all.

I felt such a blessing to have had the privilege of having had this most wonderful Lady for a close, dear friend for so many years. Vivie, as I caslled her always was such an encouraging sweet spirit, ever looking on the good side of everyone.

I talked to her regularly, even after moving to Hawaii 5 years ago, for it was always uplifting to hear her cheerful voice. When she answered the phone her voice was usually low and weak, but when she recognized my voice she became strong and vibrant. She kept us apprised of all that was going on in her life, her family, and her church.

When I hung up after a long, long talk with her it always felt like I had been talking to one of God's most Special People.

I will miss her for she was a VERY SPECIAL LADY.

Aloha nui loa Vivie,

It is a great honor for me to pay tribute to a great lady. Vivvie was the kindest, sweetest lady I ever knew. Her "gift" from God was to be an encourager and she loved to do it. She always saw only the best in everybody she met. She was pretty and dainty and very feminine. She loved pretty things and had wonderful taste. When you walked into her place, it wasn't an apartment, it was a beautifully decorated home, each piece lovingly placed perfectly, yet homey and comfortable. Everyone was welcomed and appreciated.

When C.H. and I moved to Hawaii, she wrote to us several years, for as long as she was able, and I remember one of her letters told of a light snow that had fallen in Conroe and how the neighborhood children were out playing in it. She said "Even the dog was smiling." How many people notice a dog smiling? Only Vivvie.

She enjoyed every moment of her life and I know that now that she is with her Bill, she is savoring every moment of heaven. She will leave a big hole in many lives.

She was a special, special lady and I loved her.

To Vivian's family, we loved this lady. We became acquainted through the church and felt like we had known her forever. Vivian and Tom had a mutual admiration for each other. She would call for political or legal information and he just admired her spunk. She was the picture of a southern belle. I had made some special birthday pillows for her for her sisters, and she would always stop by my classroom at church and visit for a short time. She was a lovely lady and we will miss her.
