Dear Dwayne and Linda,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. What a wonderful man he was! You are so lucky to have had him for so long. What a blessing to know that he is now resting. Just wanted you guys to know I was thinking about you and love you!

Jay showed his compassion for others through his eyes . . . and by sharing . . . his infamous chili dogs; he and Helen brought them to me while I was staying at MDA with our sister who was critically ill. Jay was strong when he had to be. God Bless Jay. God Bless Helen, Linda, Dwayne, and all family members.

Jay, I am just getting ready to go to your funeral and while it seems such a short time ago, that I was meeting you at the dock of James Bute Factory, loading up my paint to use on four schools that I was painting. The year was 1960. I have learned of many of your attributes over the years. 1. You were very dependable and took good care of your customes. 2. You were a good family man, loved your wife Helen and children Linda and Dewayne. 3. You were helpful and did whatever you could for PDCA. I am glad we got together at ourstate conventions, your family and mine and built a good relationship. We are going to miss you very much. I just wanted to say goodbye to a man I appreciated and loved and want you to know, that everything is going to be all right. Martin DeVries

And then one day I'll cross the river, I'll fight life's final war with pain; And then as death gives way to victory, I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
