What a loss! I worked with Jim many years ago in Houston and my husband and I have been friends with Jim and Barbara over the years. He was a friendly, kind and gracious person. He was "fun" to be around and we always enjoyed visiting with the family and lived just down the street from them when their two oldest children were small. We shall always remember him as one of our very best friends and will keep Barbara and her family in our prayers.

Jim is one who touched everyones heart with just a smile. He was always there to help when anyone need it. I will never forget how big his heart was to everyone. His grandkids and the High Velocity jumprope team looked forward to seeing him when they preformed. Our hearts grieve for his lose. Our prayers go out to Barb and the family. He will be deeply missed by all. Kelly,Fred,Courtney and Alli

We had the pleasure of being next door neighbors to Jim and Barbara for ten years. Jim was the kind of man you wanted your children to be around. He was kind and funny and always a gentleman. He was a great role model. Our sympathy goes out to Barbara and the children for the loss of this special man.

With love, blessings and sympathy,

As coordinator of "The Gathering Place" Alzheimer's Respite Gare, I have had the pleasure of hosting "The Happy Strings Ukulele Band" for several or our events. Jim's energetic leadership, talent and inspiration reflected in this wonderful group and radiated to our appreciative audiences. I knew that the band would continue on with this very special ministry. Jim's spirit will always be present in the uplifting music and humor, blessing each member. We look forward to future performances!

Jimmy was loved by everyone. A very pleasant, outgoing, loving, Christian individual, dedicated to his family and church. I am sure he left a lot of wonderful memories for his family which are invaluable to them. Jimmy was one of my best friends in high school and we have kept in touch over the years. He was best man at my wedding and I feel sure he was "best man" to his family. God will welcome him I am sure.

I used to really look forward to the times I would sit next to Jim in choir. He was very kind and funny and had the richest, smoothest Bass voice I've ever heard. He always had a smile and an encouraging word. I look forward to singing with him again in Heaven.

I really enjoyed getting to know Jim while I was in Conroe Evening Lions Club. He always had a smile on his face & was willing to help you out with anything. Even though I live in Florida now, I still considered him my friend. My prayers go out to his family & I know that God will give them the peace they need.

Jim and I started in Kindergarten together and went through Ouachita High School, graduating in 1951. We were separated for 50 years but became reacquainted with our 50th Anniversary in 2001. We had many fond memories that we shared. Our prayers and best wishes to Barb and family and especially to Gardner.
