Larry, Myra, Blake, & Chloe,

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God bring you comfort, and make make each day a little easier. Remember that grief is not something you get over, it is something that you walk through.

We will always remember Colby with happy thoughts. He was such a beautiful and special little boy.

We love you all very much.

"Come to me, all you weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Dear Myra & Larry,

I used to work with Lupe and although I had never met Colby I had heard great things about him from Lupe. She loved him and Blake & Chloe as if they were her own children and made others want to love them too. Colby was her "Little Man" and she loved him dearly. I have no words to ease your pain right now but please know that you and your whole family (Lupe included) are in my thoughts & prayers daily. I know that God will touch you with His hand and allow you to feel all the love that is out there for you and your family and how much we all care. My heart breaks for your loss and my deepest sympathy goes out to you.

Dear Larry and Family,

When we worked together in Houston two years ago, we called you an angel because you swept out of the air and fixed all of our problems. While you were fixing whatever it was we needed, you were always talking about your sons and how proud you were of each of them. Your sons know that they are loved, and will forever be loved.

My condolences to you and to your family during this time.

With thoughts and prayers,

Erin Smith

Before God's footstoo to confess

A poor soul knelt, and bowed his head;

"I failed," he cried. The Master said,

"Thou didst thy best - that is success!"

It is in loving, not in being loved,

the heart finds its quest;

It is in giving, not in getting,

our lives are blest."

Colby gave smiles, hugs and love to everyone.

He is loved and he will be missed.

Dear Larry, Myra and Family,

My heart goes out to you during this unbelievable time. No words could come close to expressing how sad I am for you. It is so hard to find any joy or comfort at this time of loss--but I know that our God, the Father of compassion and comfort, is ready to wrap His arms around you and ease your pain. We may never know this side of heaven why Colby was plucked at such a young age, but we pray and beleive that what we have endured here on earth will one day be revealed. At that time we shall understand in full every reason for our pain.

I will lift you up in prayer over the days, months and years to come.

With Love and Concern,

KAtie Brown

Myra - We briefly met last year while you attended MOPS at Fellowship of the Woodlands. I just want you and your family to know that you have been covered by our prayers since we heard of your tragic loss. We may not know you and your family very well but our hearts go out to you during this extremely difficult time. I know that words cannot help you at this time but please know that you are in our hearts and prayers continually.

Dear Bubba and Myra,

Beloved is my favorite word. It encompasses so much and seems to say more that just "I Love You". The Bible says that we are Beloved of God... that He has a good, perfect, and pleasing plan for our lives... and that He will walk with us through this valley of the the shadow of death. I've tried for more than an hour now to find some words of comfort and have come to the conclusion that there are none. Others can share your grief but no one can minimize it. Your hearts are no less broken because other hearts have broken too. There is only One who can comfort you. He created your hearts and He knows they are broken. He knew when he passed by and said "Jump, Colby, I will catch you", that you would be catapulted from watching Colby's firsts to living the firsts of life after Colby. He is the only One who can handle your pain. Please let Him!
