Dear Gerry,

I'm very sorry to learn of the recent loss of your father. My mom saw your dad's obituary in

the Bartlesville paper and sent it on to me. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I was thinking

of you and your family at this difficult time.

We had the honor of meeting Gerald and family through the American legion girls softball team. Gerald devoted countess hours to that cause and made many friends including our family while he coached the team. His kindness and fairness will never be forgotten. Because of him, may girls recieved a college education because of scholorship opportunities. We will never forget the impact he had on our family. We can all look back and laugh at the many fun times we shared at the softball tournaments (IE Brook being left at six flaggs... only Gerald seemed to keep his cool during the crisis, only for us all to laugh about it later) I am 36 years old and I still have matchbook covers he would bring me from his overseas travels... he seemed to have time for everyone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family

Although we only knew Gerald for a short time, we knew he was a good man. He had travelled the world, but was very down to earth, always made folks feel welcome at the campouts, and worked hard to make our meetings good ones. He was a good husband, father, employee, church member and friend, and will be missed.

Betty & family, we send you our condolences. I have many childhood memories where Gerald was full of laughter, humor and enthusiasm. I always wanted to know what part of the world you all were traveling and what sort of treasures would you bring back to share! I'm sure there is lots of sadness and hurt and loss right now and our prayers are with you. Remember the joy of many long years creating precious memories. God bless each and every one of you.

It was a privalege to meet and talk with Mr. Dutton at several family gatherings over the past couple of years. He was an honest and honerable man who impacted the lives of those arround him. He will be missed by everyone who had the privalege of knowing him on this earth. He loved all of his family and enjoyed many fun times with the children and grandchildren. I pray that you, his family can take comfort in knowing that he has embarked on the greatet and most exciting journey he has ever experienced as he now has gone to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face. He's not gone forever, only gone on ahead of you.

Our thoughts the last couple of days have of course centered around memories of Gerald and the entire Dutton extended family. We consider outselves part of the extended family. We certainly wish we could be with you right now.

Gerald particulary did so many things with and for Brian. He coached Brian in water skiing, baseball, job search, and general advice. Sarah remembers the excitement of seeing you at her wedding.

It seems that if anything was needed on a campout it could be found in the depths of a Dutton motor home cabinet, unless it had already been passed onto a grandchild. Gerald knew how to do things and do them well.

There is a BIG HOLE in our lives. There are a lot of people who feel the same way.

We are so sorry to hear about Gerald. He will certainly be missed by so many of us. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile. The reunions won't be the same without him. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Gerald many years ago when I was in Corp. Engineering. Gerald was always happy and positive and a real help to young engineers such as myself.

May the Lord be with his friends and family.
