Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: James & Ann Smith Apr 23, 2004
James & I have known Mr. Steinman since we owned Hilltop Drive In

Grocery in Dobbin, Texas 32 years ago and he delivered produce to

us. Later, I would see him when I went to work at Hoffart's Grocery

also in Dobbin. Mr. Steinman was always a gentleman you were glad

to see come into the store. I guess he reminded me of my own father

who died at the early age of 63, and seeing Mr. Steinman, the nice

man that he was, gave me a good feeling of being close to my father

again. After Mr. Steinman retired, we really missed him coming around

and were so happy when he would come by some Hoffart sausage. As

he grew older and couldn't drive his daughters would drive him to

Hoffart's to get his sausage. We were always so glad to see him

and just want the family to know that we knew what a wonderful

person he was and that you can be happy knowing he is in Heaven

with your mother. Our love, prayers and sympathy to all of you.

Thank God you had him so long. James & Ann Smith and all the

Hoffart's.
