Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Clay (Mudd) Reeves Apr 29, 2004
I was 20 years old and had just hired in with Amoco when I first had the pleasure of meeting Hoot. He taught me and others many lessons over the years. His out look was always positive and he was always"teaching" if you were willing to work hard listen and learn. Hoot was a fine man and a fine mentor.

I never saw my Uncle Hoot without a smile or arms ready to give or receive a hug. A favorite verse that I think epitomizes the whole of him is; 1 Corinthians 13:4-8..." Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." My Uncle Hoot loved...and everyone loved him.
