Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Charles Kincannon Nov 18, 2004
My memories of Mike are as diverse as the man himself. He was talented, humorous, quick witted, kind, intelligent and straight forth. Although we had lost touch after I moved off, the memories of going through school together, hunting, fishing, and a maybe a few, just few pranks are ever etched in my mind. To have known Mike and his family while growing up was truly a blessing. Thanks for the memories.........

Growing up, Mike would talk to you and let you know what was going on in his world. I remember attending with Blossom one of his band's performance at the center near first Baptist Church. He was in high school then and seemed to be a good performer in his band. I can't even remember what his instrument was, but I do remember that the music was LOUD! A good place for Mike to let it out! In my infrequent and brief encounters with him as a man, he seemed to care about people and providing artistic excellence in his professional and personal pursuits. On each encounter, I remember thinking that I was proud of the long-lasting relationships that he had made and that he had seemingly found a good niche for his professional talents. I LIKED the man he became.

Mike helped shape the person I've become. So many memories of both him and his family. He had they capacity to do whatever he set his mind to. His impact on my life will be forever a part of me.

To Mike's family: What a joy it was to know all of you while I was at SAM (1977-1992). Think of the good times you all had with Mike and carry the memories in your heart. Norma Dell
