Happy Birthday big brother!! I love and miss you just as much today as I did 5 years ago. Some day we'll all be able to celebrate together again. I know Mother baked you a beautiful cake today. I know that no birthday celebration could be better than what you're experiencing with our Heavenly Father today. You've left such an empty place in our lives here, but our hearts are so full of your beautiful memories. Thank you for being who you were to me. I love you so much.

My Dear Sweet Uncle Ray/Daddy,

It's been over a year, and I am just now deciding to write. You were my one and only, my hero, my everything. It was your memory and the comfort of knowing that you were there, waiting on my mom that pulled me through those last few days and hours with her. I am so thankful that you and grandmama and granddaddy were able to meet her at those pearly gates. You're kids are a real tribute to you. You taught them well. I love each and every one of you. Aunt Catherine, you are truly a wonderful person, and I am so glad Uncle Ray had you to love. I hope to see you and mom one day soon. I love you so much.

Your Daughter,

Dink

Ray, here it is over 7 months after you left us. I guess I've been grieving so long I've lost track of time. I will never stop missing you, my brother. When you left us, I just couldn't accept it. You were always there to worry over me (to worry over all of us), and to call me "sugar". I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss that. I have saved a voice message from you that I listen to once in awhile, just so I can hear your sweet and loving voice. I know you're happier now than you've ever been, and that is my one consolation. I would never want to take that away from you. Your wife and your children miss you very much. They are such a wonderful legacy for you. Whatever you did with those kids of yours, you sure did it right! Thank you for always loving me and for just being the warm, gentle, protective brother that you always were. I know you were there to welcome Annie home too, along with all the others. I feel good knowing the two of you are together now, and will never be parted again. I miss you both so much, and my heart will always have an empty spot for each one of you. Just save us a place right next to all of you. Take good care of Annie, my sweet brother.

Ray, I miss you so much! I know that our Mother was so happy to see you! She

has prayed for all of us so much. I'll bet Daddy and Little Man have already

grabbed a fishing pole and the three generations of you are together where you

will never be apart. I know that it gives Cindy and John much comfort to know

that you are there with him. And I know that Mother's arms were open and she

has one of her sons with her forever. We will all help watch over Catherine.

We love her very much. You don't have to worry about your children, they are

the jewels in your crown. Your brother and sisters will always be there for all

of them! I love you so, so much! Your little rabbit.

Uncle Ray, Life will never be the same without you here, but I know that I am a better person because you were in my life. I'll never stop loving you and missing you, but I'll always thank God for the gift of you. It comforts me to know you're with your mother and daddy, Aunt Marlene, Aunt Faye, Little Man, Uncle Billy,Aunt Sis and all the others who have gone on before us, and I know they are ecstatic to have you with them. You left behind such a beautiful family, and for them we are all so grateful. To them, I can only say that you did such a perfect job of sending him off to his forever home, and I couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you. Aunt Cathrin, you are one of a kind, and you could never know how much I love you! No one on the face of this earth could have made him as happy as you did, and our whole family knows that. We all thank God for the gift of you too! And for all of you!!!! I'll always be here for any of you. Please always know that.
