Our very deepest sympathy to Donald's family. I have known Donald all my life as our parent's were best of friends. Donald was my mentor as I grew up and advised me when I needed an older brother that I never had. Rudy and Lillian were like parents to me as well. May he rest in peace and strength to his mourning family.I spent a lot of time at Lake Amnicon and Lillian gave me my wedding shower at the cottage, 50 years ago this summer). It is sad that time passes so fast and we lose contact with old friends and read about them only through the obits. Those were fun years. Julie

We were sorry to hear of Don's passing. We're old friends from school at Superior Central and also saw Don frequently when we were all living in the Detroit area. We had great times together and enjoyed his company. He will be missed by all

I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Kohonen while working at Dr. Hu's office in The Woodlands. I was the lab/x-ray technician for that office and came in contact with Mr. Kohonen on numerous occassions and he was always so very nice and friendly to me no matter how much pain he may have been in. I am truly sorry for your loss but he's in a better place now and some day we'll al get to see him again.

We are sorry to learn that Don has passed away. I (Jack) was in Hi-Y together with Don at Superior (WI)Central High School and we were also in numerous classes together during high school and college years. Enjoyed seeing him again a few years ago at one of our class reunions. Don's folks had a cabin at Lake Amnicon in northern Wisconsin....I recall one especially fun overnight with him and other friends....we swam, ate, talked and had wonderful time with "the boys". I thought the world of Don. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at and your family at this difficult time.
