Bill was a good friend of my father's (Jim Van Wie); they played golf together frequently, enjoying their enormous 2 to 3 dollar bets on the games! I remember Bill as such a kind and gentle man, especially when my father was having his own struggle with cancer; Bill visited him many times and always seemed to know just what to say. He touched many lives, the passing of such a good person is a real loss for all of us. I am sorry that I was not able to attend the services on Friday, but my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.

Comment/Question: I remember with great pleasure the many meetings I had with Bill Mardaga as well as NPRA conventions with our wives during the years 1972-1980. I was his Supply counterpart with Exxon and developed a great respect for Bill in all our dealings. Tempering the sadness at learning of his passing is the knowledge that he knew Jesus Christ as his savior and is now with Him in Paradise. I look forward to reunion with him in the future.
