There were some happy times shared in your home, when our family visited.

We're so sorry for the family's pain through their sorrow, but glad that Karen's pain and suffering

is over now.

God bless her children, grandchildren, mother and brothers.

This is just a little note to you as you are watching over all your family and friends. You will be terribly missed by all.. although we mourn and shed tears because you are gone, we also celebrate the life you lived here on earth. Friends like you come around only once in a lifetime. I have many memories of all the times our family spent with yours.. from the haircuts and bar-b-ques... to staying with you after floods.. you have always been there to lend a hand to friends in need. You raised two wonderful and beautiful kids (and grandbabies)- You will never be forgotten and will be remembered as such a compassionate and beautiful friend. You are finally at peace and not having to continue the battle. When it is my turn to go rest with the Lord, we will reunite and enjoy the splendors of heaven together. Until that time comes, rest in peace Karen you deserve a little peace. I will always love you.

To the family, I extend my heartfelt condolences upon the loss of your dear mother and loved one. She was indeed, a kind, compassionate person and I know it is a huge loss for all of you. However, I know you are at peace because she is now free from pain and in the presence of our loving Savior. As time goes on, may the happy memories you shared far outweigh the current grief you are now experiencing. God bless you all.

To Karen's family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. Karen was a very dear, sweet person who was always interested in everyone and had a keen ear for listening. To her many friends, her heart was as big as all outdoors. Her courageous battle is now over and she is at peace with her Lord. May you be at peace knowing she will always be with you.

I wish our family could be there to join you in the celebration of Karen's life. What a blessing to know that she is at peace and no longer in pain. My memories are of a vibrant young woman who always welcomed her younger cousins as we made our annual trips to Texas from North Carolina. We will always cherish the wonderful memories that we have of those times with our grandparents, aunts, uncles and our many cousins. I will continue to remember you in prayer as you adjust to life without your special daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Even though us NC folks lived so far away from our TX relatives, we have very special memories. I treasure the times we many summer trips we made to Texas getting to visit our grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins such as Karen. In the past year, we had reconnected and enjoyed visiting on the phone, especially when Aunt Elza came to visit us for Thanksgiving last year. She seemed to be a dedicated Mom, daughter, a Christian friend and I am both privileged and proud to have called her my cousin.

Please know Rachelle, J.R., Aunt Elza, Billy, and Ricky that my thoughts are prayers are with you. I wish that I could be there in person and celebrate Karen's life in person with you, but since that is not possible right now, I am thinking of you all. My love and prayers. May you feel God's presence and comfort today and in the days ahead. Love, Cindy Brownd Buffaloe

I'm so sorry, Karen, that I couldn't be there for you to celebrate your meeting with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to remember you as you were long ago when we were young. I have so many regrets that I haven't kept in touch like I should have. We get so busy with our lives that we forget our friends. We'll meet again one day and I will embrace you like the friend I should have been while we were on earth. I loved your grace and gentleness. You are a true Christian and you are now where you belong at Jesus' side. I pray for your family to find your peace during this time of sorrow. They love you and will miss you as I will.
