I will miss Lewis because he was so much fun. He has pulled som good ones on me. If he tells you something in a playful manner, You never knew if he was joking or if he meant it until he began to laugh at you. But even then he never changed the story. He has made Jewel think at times that he wa serious and he was not.

He wanted to take the trip that we planned but he had to go before us but you can know he is happy on this trip. We will miss him but we will see him again some day.

To a great man who always had time for all of his nieces and nephews as we were growing up. I can remember the many trips out on the the old logging and country roads that he would take us back in the bed of the pick-up that he might have and we would always wind up at the Dairy Queen. He loved his ice cream as much as we kids did. Lewis, you will be sorely missed as you always kept the gatherings in a festive mood. Don't you and Dad get up in heaven and have too much fun till we can all join you some day. Don't drink too much coffee or watch too many ball games.

I just wanted to say what a great person Uncle Lewis was. As a little kid I remember him being so tall and just towering over me, but he had the biggest heart and was always playing with us kids and making us laugh. I just want Johnny and Aunt Jewell to know that I love you and pray for you every day. Please let me know if I can do anything. Love always, Dawn Helton Little

On January 24, 1987 my mother married Johnny and from that day I was privleged to call Lewis Walker my grandfather. I remember numerous Sundays after lunch; we would sit outside to watch the cars drive by. Nothing much was ever said; but, nothing was needing to be said. We were comfortable with each other and from those moments I knew I loved him and nothing will ever change that.
