To all of Pat's family- She was the kindest person I have known. Never a harsh word was uttered by her. I remember her at the Extension Office and then our paths crossed again at Conroe ISD. Take time to remember the good times you had with her. God gives us those memories to sustain us during times like this. You all our in my prayers. She will truly be missed.

Donna,

My prayers are with you that you may find comfort in the lovely memories you hold dear of your mother and your time together. These connections are a real solace in her absence. You know she would not want those she loved to grieve without consolation. I am sorry I could not attend the visitation or funeral, but I will be here when you return to work as an extra shoulder to lean on and an extra friend to listen and cheer you through these most difficult times.

Fondly,

Marylouise

To the family of Pat Mayfield,

I am a teacher and have been a DI coach for many years with

Conroe ISD. Of course, what brought me close to Pat Mayfield were

her duties with Dr. Corley and DI. I remember meeting Pat for the

first time during the summer several years ago as she assumed her

duties in the GT office. She was a soft-spoken, well-mannered,

and unassuming gentle person. I thought to myself,"What a perfect

person for the busy GT office!" I was correct in my assumption

because when Pat became involved in all the organization of trips

for DI--coaches, parents, and kids get a "little anxious" (that is

putting it midly, of course) as she became involved in a firestorm

of demands. However, Pat in her cool-ever-in- control personality

kept everyone organized and calm. That is what I liked about Pat

Mayfield--she was a classy, organized, cool, calm, and collected

lady. In those hectic days of DI; I would email her many times

during a day! Through her organization she provided my partner,

Carol Edgar, and our many DI state and Global DI Teams with the

trips of ours lives. She organized our rooms in hotels and our

monies. Although we thanked her many times for her organization,

I want her family to know that she impacted our lives with her

grace, sweetness, and organization. We appreciate Pat Mayfield

and we will miss this classy lady.

Our deepest, sincere condolences and sympathy go out to Pat's family and brother Bill. No doubt that she will be missed by family, friends, most all who ever had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Pat. Her beautiful smile was always warm and showed what a true sweetheart she was. I never knew anyone at our high school that did not like Pat or spoke unkindly then and afterwards. Pat was the fastest typist in our typing II class taught by Mrs. Webb, at 127 words per minute, as I admired her accomplishment in doing so. It was always a pleasure to see Pat smile and speak with her at our school reunions, and will miss seeing her again. Take solis in knowing Pat was a truly sweet person with love and kindness. Warm Regards Always, Dan & Clara Rose
