Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Courtenay Crane Cross Apr 17, 2006
Pete, Your mom and dad have always been part of the life of our family. This statement is held up for examination by pictures of your mom and dad with all the Crane children as toddlers. My favorite picture of Edna May with me is her holding my arms up and helping me to "learn" to walk. My heart is sad, but I experience great joy in having known your family. Edna May and Phillip were dear Godparents to Joe Bartlett.

Love, Courtenay

Dear Peter,

Another part of our childhood has passed away, hasn't it? I want you to know, and I hope you already do know, that BOTH of you sweet parents were dear to me. I have so many wonderful memories of our two families spending time together--especially at the ranch and the deer camp. Your mother was a delightful and happy lady, a person who laughed so easily. She was a wonderful example of a genuine Southern lady, but not a STUFFY one...a person with a quick wit and sense of humor. We are all blessed to have known her.

I apologize that we cannot attend her memorial service. But please know that we care and our heart goes out to you today. Sincerely, Mary Ann
