Even though I never got to meet Michael I feel close to him. Everyday when Ovie would come into the County Mailroom he would talk with me about Michael. I knew about his good days and his bad days. Ovie, now everyday is good because Michael has no more pain and is walking the streets of gold with his Heavenly Father waiting for the day he can be with his Mommy, Poppy, and sister. Michael is now your own Special Little Guardian Angel. Ovei and Ellie may you find peace with our Heavenly Father. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Ovie and Ellie, There will never be anything anyone can say to help ease the pain of losing a child, but know that your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers. We can all rest assured that he is now walking with our Lord and Savior happy and whole waiting for his family to join him. I know that he will always be with you no matter where you are. May you all find comfort in knowing that you will always be connected in love and spirit!!!

Ovi and Ellie, We love you guys and have been thinking about you and praying for you, Michael and Christina. Myra and I are so sorry for what you all have been through.

I wanted you to know that you guys gave us peace and hope when we first came to Texas Children's. You told us that all we could do was give it to God and know that whatever happened He would be there. You were right. Through it all God has always been here. We will continue to pray that He wraps his arms around your family and blesses you beyond your dreams.

Ovi, "It's all high-fives once we get the heaven man." We will have made it and we will see our families all together again. Our boys are already happy, healthy and smiling because they now know there is more to this life, more than we could ever imagine.

I coached Michael at 8 yrs. old (A's). My son Devin also played on the team, we both remember Michael very well. He was a great ball player and had an amazing personality. The Salinas family is in our prayers.

Even though it's been over twenty years since I've seen Ovi, I know if Michael was half as wonderful a boy as his dad was when we were in school then this world will miss out on a fine young man. My stepson goes to Cryar and he and his classmates have lost a true friend. My families thoughts and prayers are with the Salinas family.
