Funeral services for Roy Bradley Chandler, 58, of Willis will be held on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. in First United Methodist Church of Conroe with Rev. Sam Jones and Chaplain Monty Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2006 from noon until 8 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Roy was born on July 11, 1948 in Galveston, Texas and passed away on September 11, 2006 in Houston, Texas. He was a graduate of the Houston Police Academy, Class #41. Roy gave 36 years of service to the Houston Police Department attaining the rank of Captain. He earned a Master’s Degree at Sam Houston State University and taught criminal justice at Kingwood College and the University of Houston Downtown branch.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Diane Chandler of Willis; sons, Patrick Chandler and wife Nicole and Ryan Chandler, all of Houston; sister, Linda Miller of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother, George Chandler and wife Leigh of Dallas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Sandra Randall of Willis; grandchildren, Holden Chandler and Carson Chandler; and father-in-law, Don Randall of Houston. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
