Mr. Traylor was born on March 17, 1924 in Cut-N-Shoot, Texas and passed away at his home in Cut-N-Shoot on Sunday, October 15, 2006. He was a lifetime resident of Cut-N-Shoot, Texas and worked his entire life in Montgomery County in the agricultural field. Starting out as a producer, transitioning into the feed business and then into the farm equipment business at Conroe Truck and Tractor, where he retired in 1986. He was a charter member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and a member of the Montgomery County Fair Association. He was a lifetime member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cut-N-Shoot, Texas. John was a member of the Conroe Masonic Lodge #748. He loved and provided for his family and, although they were not a wealthy family, they were indeed a rich one.
He firmly believed the future was in the hands of our youth and always strived to teach and help them in their endeavors. He always had time for youngsters and was always willing to spend whatever time and energy it took to help them succeed. Due to his loving nature, he had four biological children and a large contingent of young people that looked up to him.
Mr. Traylor is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anne Marl Traylor; his daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Richard Morrison and Laurie and Randy Bailey; sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Beth Traylor and Terry and Pam Traylor; grandchildren, Shawn Coleman, Phil and Laurie Jones, Todd and Amanda Traylor, Travis Traylor, Brittni Jones, Amanda and Neil Manchester, Gina Traylor, John Bailey and Natalie Traylor; two great granddaughters, Taylor Jones and Bailey Manchester; sister, Mary Lou Fugett of Huntsville, Texas.
