John (Reuben) Browder Traylor, Jr.
March 17, 1924 - October 15, 2006

Funeral services for John (Reuben) Browder Traylor, Jr., 82, of Cut-N-Shoot will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Charles Downey officiating. Interment will follow in Old Waverly Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.

Mr. Traylor was born on March 17, 1924 in Cut-N-Shoot, Texas and passed away at his home in Cut-N-Shoot on Sunday, October 15, 2006. He was a lifetime resident of Cut-N-Shoot, Texas and worked his entire life in Montgomery County in the agricultural field. Starting out as a producer, transitioning into the feed business and then into the farm equipment business at Conroe Truck and Tractor, where he retired in 1986. He was a charter member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and a member of the Montgomery County Fair Association. He was a lifetime member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cut-N-Shoot, Texas. John was a member of the Conroe Masonic Lodge #748. He loved and provided for his family and, although they were not a wealthy family, they were indeed a rich one.

He firmly believed the future was in the hands of our youth and always strived to teach and help them in their endeavors. He always had time for youngsters and was always willing to spend whatever time and energy it took to help them succeed. Due to his loving nature, he had four biological children and a large contingent of young people that looked up to him.

Mr. Traylor is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anne Marl Traylor; his daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Richard Morrison and Laurie and Randy Bailey; sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Beth Traylor and Terry and Pam Traylor; grandchildren, Shawn Coleman, Phil and Laurie Jones, Todd and Amanda Traylor, Travis Traylor, Brittni Jones, Amanda and Neil Manchester, Gina Traylor, John Bailey and Natalie Traylor; two great granddaughters, Taylor Jones and Bailey Manchester; sister, Mary Lou Fugett of Huntsville, Texas. He is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends. Pallbearers are Blakely Buck, John Hardy, Robin Dean, Dean Musgrove, Jeff McDonald, Gary Thomas, Jack Little, Brian Nutter, John Puckett, Mike Meador, Gary Calfee, and Johnny Gregson.

A special thanks to caregivers, Georgie Ferguson, Cathy Fisher and all the Lighthouse Hospice caregivers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Cal Farley’s Boy Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174. You are invited to leave a written tribute for the family on our website at www.cashnerfunerals.com.
