Funeral services for Lillian Ruth Stockton, 80, of The Woodlands will be held on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Gordon Suddeth officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stockton was born on September 18, 1926 in Royalton, Illinois and passed away on October 20, 2006 in Shenandoah, Texas. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Lillian was a commander and leader in Awana’s for over 25 years. She was a military wife for 15 years from 1946 to 1961 while her husband Earl served in the Army Infantry all over the world and she was very proud of his commendations. She held numerous voluntary positions throughout his military career.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Earl Stockton of The Woodlands; sons, Gene Stockton and wife Ginny of Naperville, Illinois, Jerry Stockton and wife Tessa of Lenoir, Tennessee, and Don Stockton and wife Kara of Conroe; sister, Hazel Alms and husband Edgar of Hannibal, Missouri; grandchildren, Cindy Stockton, Jennifer Stockton, Liam Stockton, Jessica Moya, Fletcher Stockton, and Brooke Stockton; great grandchildren, Dake, Hunter, Isabella, Olivia, Julia, and Dylan. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
