A memorial service for Michael George Erli, 84, of Montgomery will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jay officiating.
Mr. Erli was born on October 1, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio and passed away on November 16, 2006 in The Woodlands, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. Michael retired after 50 years working as a metallurgist and 22 years at Treeline Golf Course. For numerous years, he enjoyed playing Santa Claus at businesses and schools. He had a reputation as a great apple pie maker.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marguerite Erli of Montgomery; daughter, Cindy Erli Grossman and husband Paul of Chicago, Illinois; sons, Dennis Michael Erli and wife Christina of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Stephen L. Hannum of Chicago, Illinois, Michael J. Hannum and wife Maggie of Montgomery, and Timothy P. Hannum of Houston; sister, Mary Ann Trego and husband Charles of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Tony, Michael, Matt, Josh and Taylor. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
“PaPa” will be greatly missed.
