A celebration of life for Stanley Ray Fleetwood, 73, of Conroe will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 10 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Conroe with Dr. Charles Walton and Rev. Cliff Herrington officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Bennett Cemetery, Apple Springs, Texas. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Fleetwood was born on November 4, 1933 in Dallas, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2006 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1962 with an Electrical Engineering degree and was a dedicated fan of the University of Houston football team.
Stan was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for many years and taught for over 25 years in the youth department. He served as a deacon and on various committees at First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Gideons and served as Chaplin. Stan loved to travel and experience new places. His parents, Ray and Ethel Fleetwood, and brother, Randall Fleetwood, all preceded him in death.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Annette of Conroe; son, Russell Fleetwood and wife Sherri of Pomabamba, Peru; daughter, Laurie Reeves and husband Steve of Conroe; grandchildren, Tiffany Ballard of Kingwood, Bethany Ballard of Houston, Beau Ballard of Snyder, Brittnie Reeves of McAlester, Oklahoma; great granddaughter, Macie Ballard of Kingwood. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
The Gideons and First Baptist Church deacons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
