Robert A. Garner, Jr., age 57, of Missouri City, Texas peacefully passed away, Saturday , December 23, 2006 with his wife, Sandy, by his side.
Bob fought his cancer with a vengeance for the past 9 months. He was never angry or asked “Why me?” That wasn’t his nature. Whatever our Lord Jesus Christ dealt him he accepted and did his best.
“Bobby” or “Bob”, as he was known, was born February 13, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Robert A. Garner, Sr. and Mary K. Garner. He played football at Westbury and Marion High School, and after graduating from Marion, he went on to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. In 1972 he went to work in the family business “Garner Oil Company” selling “Wynn’s” products and continued until November 9, 2006 when he became very ill.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Garner, Sr. (October 13, 1999) and his mother, Mary K. Garner (August 20, 2006). He is survived by his wife, Sandy Garner; sister and brother-in-law, June and Charles Roberts; brother, Thomas Garner; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and James Georgous; 6 grandchildren, Darren (best friend), Lauren, Amber, Brittanie, Laila and James Robert; niece, Christy Stanley and husband Chet and daughter, Cori; niece, Sherrie Roberts and husband John and daughters, Kasie, Kealie and Kayden. Many friends and family throughout the United States also survive him. Pallbearers will be James Georgous, Bill Schmidt, A. J. Rojas, Ernest Fuentes, David Shirey and David Heaps. Honorary pallbearers are Darren Georgous and Steve Stedman. Bobby loved his family, snow skiing, throwing the Frisbee on the beach, barbecuing on his deck and Christmas was his favorite holiday. He will now celebrate Christmas in heaven with his heavenly family. He will be missed so very much and will always be in our hearts. We love you more than words can express and we will all be together again some day in the future.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. December 27, 2006 in Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 3 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor James Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
