Funeral services for Grady Gerold Brookshire, 63, of Cleveland will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Tim Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Brookshire was born September 29, 1943 in Pasadena, Texas and passed away on January 22, 2007 at his home in Security, Texas. Grady worked as a plumber out of Local #68 for 43 years before retiring last year. He and his buddy, Kramer, enjoyed his retirement fishing with friends and going to the deer lease.
Grady is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Pat Brookshire; daughter, Reagan Annette Franklin; grandchildren, Tyler and Holly Girard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Clifford Caldwell, Jerry Helen and Marion Williams, and Jackie Gardner, all of the Conroe area; special friends, Ricky Luker and Larry Wichman and a host of friends and family who touched his life and made it happier. Pallbearers will be Tyler Girard, Joe Girard, Larry Wichman, Ricky Luker, Keith (Doggy) Hardin, and Brian (Doorknob) Dorman. Honorary pallbearers are Vince (Beemer) Horvath, Joe Hales, Danny Evans, Jimmy Kelso, Chris Solis, Jim Rushing, Kirt, Donnie, and Greg Luker, and Adam, Timmy, and William Crawford.
