Funeral services for Samuel Ernest Skelton, Jr., 82, of Conroe will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Robert Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2007 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Skelton was born July 21, 1924 in Trinity, Texas and passed away on February 8, 2007 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. He worked for Union Pacific Resources for 39 years before retiring.
Samuel's daughter, Lora Lynn Skelton, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bobby Skelton of Conroe; sons, Stephen Skelton and wife Pam of Mt. Enterprise and Charles Skelton and wife Judy of Conroe; sisters, Ida Lou Hilderbrand of Navasota, Dorothy Dennis of Royse City, and Helen Cecil of Old Waverly; and brother, Ray Skelton of Conroe. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Bryant, Gary LaBlue, Kris LaBlue, Kevin LaBlue, John Artificavitch, and Robert Caves. Honorary pallbearer is Bobby Ross.
