Albert L. Verm, Sr., was born September 23, 1938 in Sealy, Texas and passed away to a better life on February 12, 2007 at his home in Grangerland, Texas under the care of Asera Care Hospice.
Albert was the oldest of 5 children to Johnnie and Katherine Verm. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1955, then he was in the Seabees and U. S. Coast Guard. Albert learned diesel fuel while in the service and was owner, with his wife, of Diesel Fuel Injection.
Albert's brother, Robert Verm, preceded him in death. Albert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Myrtle Verm; children, Albert L. Verm, Jr. and wife Barbara, Alton Verm, Alfred Verm and wife Marilyn, and daughter, Alice Nowak and husband Thomas; grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Diana Verm, A. J. Verm, Brittany Verm, Gabriel Verm, Daren Nowak, Joshua Verm, Whitney Verm, Arron Nowak, and Sebastian Verm; sisters, Emily Shearer and husband Melvin and Patricia Adams; and brother, Billy Verm and wife Janet and Jackie Verm. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.
Services for Mr. Verm will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 3 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Harold Morton officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
