On March 23, 2007, Charles “Bubba” Long went home to the Promised Land. He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 8, 1960. He made his home in Conroe, Texas. Bubba had for the last several years worked at his family’s business, Long Air Conditioning, Inc. He also had been very successful in training horses which led him to Colorado and Arizona, where he lived briefly. He traveled extensively all over the United States and Canada. Bubba was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt. He loved fishing with his buddies, being at the beach and going to South Texas hunting. Always the life of the party, he never met a stranger and had a smile and a handshake for anyone who crossed his path. Being a kind, generous, loving soul, we are all certain God has a special place for him in heaven.
Bubba is survived by his parents, Doyle and Joan Long of Conroe; brother, Randy and his wife Starla Long of Conroe; two beautiful daughters, Mistie Leigh and husband Thiago Sobrah and Macie Marie Long, both of Arizona. He had three nephews, Corey, Colby and Cody Long, all of Conroe, who adored him. His special friend and companion, Loretta Felder also survives him. Numerous aunts, uncles and friends survive. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Charles “Bill” and Laura West and O.B. and Sarah Long.
