Funeral services for Thomas Marvin Kelley, 81, of Conroe will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. in Mims Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Kelley was born September 4, 1925 in Conroe, Texas and passed away on June 5, 2007 at home in Conroe, Texas. He proudly served his country from May, 1944 to June, 1954 in the U. S. Navy where he participated in 2 wars, WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Tom was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of Mims Baptist Church. He owned and operated Tom Kelley Tire Corp. for 25 years. His parents, John Samuel and Alma Annie Smith Kelley, and son, Marvin Sam Kelley, all preceded him in death.
Tom is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jewell Kelley; daughter, Connie Kelley Steen and husband David; grandchildren, Paul Kelley and wife Dena, Steven Kelley, Timothy Steen and wife Jennifer and Kelly Ann Steen Hollander; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richie Foster, John Patrick, Bob Poole, David Wilkerson, Larry Smith, Wes Carr, Bruce King and Jimmy Hite. Honorary pallbearers are the Friendship Class members of Mims Baptist Church.
