Funeral Services for Nancy Oreda Cavender, 78 will be held Monday, May 20, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with Mr. W.R. Jones and Mr. Bob Pulliam officiating with Cashner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Interment to follow in the Garden Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Cashner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cavender was born April 9, 1924 in Charleston, West Virginia and passed from this world on May 17, 2002 in Conroe, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Ellis Cavender. She was a beloved wife, loving mother and an amazing grandmother, who loved to laugh and still knew how to play. She was faithful to her Lord and an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was the loving mother of Judith Karen Lewis and her husband Larry of Willis, Sharon Jean Lucas and husband Carl of Huntington, West Virginia. She will be greatly missed by her three grandchildren, Ted Lewis and wife Karen of Tomball, Jodi Simmons and husband Stuart of Willis, Mike Lucas and wife Jenny of Ohio. She is also survive by six great grandchildren, Joshua and Jamie Simmons, Theodore Jacob Lewis and Brooke, Micah and Eli Lucas. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and a yard full of birds and squirrels.
