Memorial services for Matthew Phillip Ward will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. In Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bobby Frazier officiating.
Matthew was born July 3, 1956 in Queens, New York and passed away June 6, 2002 in Houston, Texas at the age of 45.
Matthew was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. As a son he followed in the footsteps of his father, Walter Paul Ward, Sr. and cherished his mother, Madeline. As a big brother he guided his brother, Walter Paul Ward, Jr., but in the end his brother guided him. As he came to understand their differences he developed a strong and unconditional love for his sister, Kathy Piscitelli. As a husband of 25 years, with no regrets and no remorse, he fulfilled Lillian's every dream, and to this day she would do it all over again without changing anything. As a father with his time all too short, Matthew raised 8 incredible children, and taught them all that love is the only road that goes on forever. Christopher 25, Daniel 21, Jesse 19, Harry 17, Jennifer 15, Harley 12, Red 9, and Abigail 3. As a friend he was honest and dependable and anything anyone ever needed he would try his best to give. He was definitely true to heart and will never be forgotten because his memory will forever be in our hearts. He is survived by all except his father whom he has gone to join.
