Funeral services for Walter J. Hagan, 89, of Conroe will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Charles Wigley officiating. Etombment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery's Chapel in the Park Mausoleum. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2002 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Hagan was born on October 6, 1912 in Yoakum, Texas and passed away on September 17, 2002 in Conroe, Texas. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 42 years. His parents, Floyd Vincent and Minne Hagan, and his daughter, Judith Nell Ewing, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ruth Hagan of Conroe; son, Harold Hagan and wife Sara of Conroe; brother, Herbert Hagan of Houston; grandchildren, Stephen C. Hagan of Conroe, Jennifer Lynn Broussard of Houston, Randall Redmon of Medina, Ohio, James and Scott Ewing of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Randy, and Abigail Redmon all of Medina, Ohio. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
