Mrs. Chunn was born August 21, 1935 in Grand Saline, Texas and passed away November 29, 2002 in Willis, Texas. She was raised and schooled in Kilgore, Texas. She married William Chunn on July 1, 1953 and was happily married for almost fifty years. Within those years she and William raised four sons and experienced the joy of being grandparents and great-grandparents. They lived in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, then came back to Texas in 1966. They eventually settled on Lake Conroe where they lived for the last twelve years.
Evelyn was devoted to her family and spent her life caring for them. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and eating out with her family. Words cannot express the wonderful life she led, it was expressed in the many things she did for those she loved and anyone who needed her help. She was a special person and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, William Chunn of Willis; sons, Billy Chunn and his wife Jo Ann of Waller, Glenn Chunn and his wife Nora of Katy, Gary Chunn and his wife Penny of Conroe, and Terry Chunn and his wife Tracy of Spring. She has 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Billy Chunn, Glen Chunn, Gary Chunn, Terry Chunn, David Doubek and Bryon Chunn.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the pediatric unit at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston in memory of Hunter Kade Chunn and Evelyn Chunn.
