Funeral services for Beatrice Mae Adamick, 90, of Willis will be held on Monday, June 23, 2003 at 2 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kelly Courtney of First Assembly of God officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 22, 2003 from 12 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m.
Beatrice passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2003. She was born in Mexia, TX on January 28, 1913. Her family later moved to Groesbeck. She met and married Lawrence Franklin Adamick of Willis and they were married 62 years before he passed away in May, 1994. They resided on Morans Ranch where they worked and raised their family. As family was always so important to her, she strived to maintain the harmony of the family and was so much a part of all of the reunions and celebrations.
Living in Willis for over fifty years, she was known by everyone. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Willis.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke and Viola Moody, three sisters, Lula Mae Becker of Bryan, Leona Clark of Mineral Wells and Lucille Hyman of New Waverly, a daughter, Ollie Mae Shaw of Deer Park and three grandsons, Kevin, Keith and Brandon Canion of Smiley. Surviving family members include her daughters, Jean Kleimann and Pat Powell both of Willis, Maxine Canion of Smiley, sons, Jim Adamick of Willis and Wayne Adamick of Spring, sisters, Marie Duclos of Houston, and Hazel Ruthstrom of Spring Branch, and a brother Roland Dossey of Tyler. She was the loving grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and great-grandmother of seventeen. She is survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
Beatrices was Known as Mother, Bea, Aunt Bea, Ma and Sister Adamick, she will be greatly missed by all.
