Funeral services for Thelma Adelle Curry, 89, of Conroe will be held on Monday, December 22, 2003 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Charles Teal and Brother Harold Belton officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2003 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Curry was born on August 8, 1914 in Walker County, Texas and went home to be with Jesus on December 18, 2003 in Conroe, Texas. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Curry; son, Herman Curry; son and daughter-in-law, Jasper and Mae Curry; and one great grandson, Patrick Belton. Survivors include her son, Douglas Curry and wife Shirley of Conroe; daughters, Bonnie Powers and husband Walter of Conroe, Ruth Belton and husband Harold of Lumberton, Mississippi, Nelda Matthews of Conroe, Wanda Spinks and husband Ray of Conroe, and Kay Curry of Conroe; 25 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers include grandsons, Joey Belton, Dewayne Belton, Bobby Curry, George Oatis, Dean Belton, Doug Belton, Dale Belton, Raymond Morgan, Larry Hightower, Phillip Curry, and Shane Rogers.
