Funeral Services for Minor Robinson Ross will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 11:00 p.m. at Cashner Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Downey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13 from 3:00-9:00 p. m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Minor Ross loved to play his guitar, in fact he was responsible for helping many artists get their start in the late 1950s and 1960s, such as Mickey Gilley, on the Minor Record Label. Minor was a very religious man and loved his family very much.
Mr. Ross was born September 12, 1923 in Marlin, Texas and passed away April 8, 2004 in Conroe. He is survived by his wife Vera Ross, of Conroe, daughters, Gloria Holloway of Houston, Joy Cole and husband, Kane of Conroe, Tina Hardin and husband, Tom of Conroe and step-daughter, Shirley Woodard of Houston; sons, Minor Ross of Houston, Melvin Ross and wife, Michelle of Houston, Glen Ross of Mexia, Texas; Robert Ross and wife, April of Mexia, Texas; step-sons, Bobby Muncrief and wife, Terry, and Skip Muncrief of Edna, Texas; sisters, Grace Ross of Houston and Jane Ann of Kingwood; brother, Samuel Ross-Bert of Houston. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other loving extended family.
