Funeral services for Daniel Roy Willis, 15, will be Thursday, April 29, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. at Cashner Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Jarvis Reed officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, 2004 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Interment will be in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Thomas Willis, E.L. Smith, Shawn Neff, Clyde Willis, Matt Davila and Brad Serrano.
Daniel was born October 7, 1988 in Conroe, Texas and passed away April 24, 2004 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Conroe High School and was a member of the CHS Freshman Basketball Team. He was an accomplished artist, who specialized in pen and ink sketches and cartoons. Daniel loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and skateboarding. He was just beginning a new hobby, learning to play the bass guitar. Daniel was a member of North Point Free Will Baptist Church and loved being involved in it.
Daniel is survived by his parents: Thomas and Dava Willis of Conroe, TX; sister: Rachel Willis of Conroe, TX; grandparents: Thelma Neff of Spring, TX, and Lola (Pat) Willis of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandmothers: Beulah Daigle of Plaquemine, LA, and Minnie Bonner of Spring, TX.; Uncles: Dalton Willis and wife Mary of Sunshine, LA, Michael Willis and wife Sylvia of Baton Rouge, LA and Shawn Neff and wife Cyndi of Round Rock, TX; aunts: LaFon Taylor and husband Danny of Baton Rouge, LA and Sheila Sutton of Gallatin, TN. Daniel also is survived by special friends, April Rodriguez, Matt Davila and Brad Serrano, as well as a host of other loving, extended family and friends.
We will always remember Daniel for a kind word, a listening ear, and no judgments.
