Funeral services for James Harold Anderson, 76, of Conroe will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bill Navarre officiating. Interment will be in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2004 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson was born on June 12, 1927 in Tuskegee, Alabama and passed away on June 11, 2004 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was the owner of Showcase Auto Paint & Body Shop for 20 years and was instrumental in the founding of the Montgomery County 100 Club. An avid fisherman and a true patriot, Mr. Anderson was known for his passion for politics and social justice. He was beloved by friends and family alike.
James' daughter, Sherry Anderson Pearson, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Anderson of Conroe; daughter, Theresa Blakley of Jackson, Tennessee; son, Steve Anderson and wife Cheryl of Montgomery; son-in-law, Chet Pearson of Conroe; grandchildren, Zachary, Jeffrey, Matthew, Angela, Chelsea, Sean, and Eric.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 1084, Crystal Beach, TX 77650.
