Funeral services for Mary Lois Beutow, 64, of Conroe, Texas will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Lutheran Church with Pastor David Quail and Pastor George Borghardt III officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 30, 2004 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home.
Mary Beutow, devoted wife, loving mother, and best friend was born November 11, 1939 in Dewitt, Arkansas and was called home by her Lord and Savior on July 28, 2004.
Mary loved life and devoted all her married life to volunteer work at nursing homes, county extension work, the River Plantation Board, girl scouts, and school programs. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Conroe where she participated in the Ruth Guild and Beautification Committee and was a volunteer for the Thrift Shop. Mary was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Mary's father, Melvin Pinkerton, and two brothers, Larry and Melvin Pinkerton, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Don Beutow; daughter, Pam Beutow; mother, Addie Pinkerton; three sisters, Donna Overman and husband Bob, Faye Stone and husband Joe, and Nancy Cochrane; one brother, Taylor Pinkerton and wife Sandra; sisters-in-law, Delores Pinkerton and Connie Lype and husband Ron. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the Alzheimers Association, 2909 West Holcombe, Houston, TX 77025 or to St. Mark Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2100 Tickner, Conroe, TX 77301.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Virginia Yap, Virginia Hendrix, and Houston Hospice for their loving care of Mary.
