Rev. Hamlin was born on May 1, 1932 in Houston, Texas and, on October 14, 2004 after a lengthy illness, he passed from this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Those of us who remain thank God for the wonderful gift of loving and being loved by D. A. Hamlin. We take comfort in the promise God has given us, that, one day soon we who believe in Christ will have a Great and Glorious Reunion Day with him.
Throughout his 40 year Ministry he touched many lives. Today, his precious and loving wife of 49 years, Mrs. Martha Hamlin; four children, Dennis and Donna Hamlin, Raymond and Carla McDaniel; seven grandchildren, Zachary Hamlin, Russell and April Rhodes, Glen and Dayna Clark, Michael and Cathy McDaniel; and four great grandchildren, Taylor and Scott McDaniel, and Rylee and Bethany Rhodes; sister, Gloria Bell Wood; and numerous other relatives and friends extend to all whose lives were touched by D. A. Hamlin, an invitation to share in the Celebration to Honor his life on this earth. In the words of the Apostle Paul, Dad would have us say to you: I have ran the race, I have finished the course, I have kept the Faith.
The family would like to express our thanks to Odyssey Hospice, especially his faithful nurses, Susan Seders and Anglic Holiday.
