Funeral services for Richard (Dick) Davis Kimball, 45, of New Waverly, Texas, will be held Friday, October 29, 2004, at 3:30 p.m., at Lynn Lucas Middle School, with Pastor David Schneider officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 28, 2004, from 1:00-9:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.

Mr. Kimball was born July 4, 1959 in San Francisco, California and passed away, October 25, 2004 in New Waverly, Texas. He was a school teacher at Lynn Lucas Middle School in Willis, Texas where he was chosen Teacher of the Year in 2004. Mr. Kimball was a member of Conroe Bible Church, was extremely devoted to God, his wife Laurie his entire family, and his many students, co-workers, friends and community. He was a veteran of The United States Army and was also a Life Scout of the Boy Scouts of America and a Sea Scout.

Mr. Kimball is survived by his wife, Laurie Kimball of New Waverly, Texas, his daughters, Anne Elizabeth Kimball and Catherine Rose Kimball of New Waverly and his son, Matthew LaVergne Kimball of New Waverly. Survivors also include: mother, Mary Lyons and husband, Roger of Silver Spring, Maryland, father, Edwin Davis Kimball and wife, Eva Tolgyesi of Rockville, Maryland; sisters, Karen Anne Cooper of Silver Spring, Maryland and Frances Mary Kimball of Greeley, Colorado; brother, Charles Harris Kimball of Murray, Utah; niece, Alicia Grace Kimball of Logan, Utah and nephew, William Edwin Kimball of Murray, Utah. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Contributions may be made to the family through an account that has been set up at Woodforest Bank. There will also be a Spaghetti Dinner in the Lynn Lucas Middle School cafeteria following the service. The dinner will be for anyone who would like to attend. A donation of $5.00 per plate is suggested and the proceeds will go to the Kimball family. Contributions may also be made to the Lynn Lucas Middle School Science Field Trip Fund.
