Benjamin Franklin Caperton, III, 82, of Hillister passed away November 15, 2004 at his residence.
Born June 16, 1922 in Dallas, Texas, he lived in Hillister for the past 18 years. He was a retired regional claims adjuster for Mutual Of Omaha. He was a member and deacon of the Hillister Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Urbandale in Dallas, past president of Riverlake Country Club, member of the Nose Brotherhood at Baylor University and a member of the 1st Marine Parachute Regiment Survivors.
On August 19, 1946 he married the love of his live who survives him, Dorothy Caperton. He is also survived by his loving children, Ben Caperton IV and wife, Jamie of Woodland Park, CO, Daren Poindexter and husband, Ron of Hillister and Ves Caperton and wife, Chadda of Willis; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at 4 PM at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with Brother Clark Mahoney officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 18, 2004, at 2 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville. Serving as pallbearers will be Elton Spurlock, Paul Jones, Bud Ware, B.A. Smith, Byron Holley and Al Prichard.
